If I have learned anything as an adult it has been to accept mistakes and learn from them not be a martyr for them.  A few years ago I would have teared up and punished myself for hours over the mere idea I had done something wrong.  I know now that owning up to what I’ve done and making an effort not to repeat it is all that’s necessary.  I can then move on with my life.  I no longer worry about appearing too jovial in front of those who have reprimanded me, and I refuse to walk on eggshells for a week after whatever confrontation has taken place.

That’s it for now, my friends.  Short and sweet, but a lesson that takes as long to learn as any repeated mistake I’ve ever made.

Go now, make your mistakes, but know when to let them go.
